I have never enjoyed my clothes like I do now. I love my wardrobe and feel I have nailed it. So I am not buying another item. Not this year anyway. I like to have clothes that I can wear down and dress up and with different shoes and when you can mix and match, you know its going to lift you if you enjoy what to wear, giving you a boost of confidence.
Being comfortable to me is a must. Having a nice cosy jacket, a hat and scarf is a must and like to have bright colours but love grey, light pinks and black sometimes but colour just lifts my mood and so I like to have a mixture.
So spend time going through and do the Kon Marie method if it gives you joy or not.
How often you have worn it and I like to recycle my clothes and shoes or hand them down as I have nieces and I just feel clothes can interpret your mood.
I have changed my look on clothes. There is a shop in Wimbledon called Ely's and the clothes are soft and crisp that I am thinking of investing in high end rather than low end. The feel of wearing something that you've saved up for makes me feel I need to value myself. I feel price interprets what we buy. The jumper I have on was reduced to £10 and it is nice, but I have bought clothes on the cheap and the texture of them have been horrible and feel I need clothes that are better for me.
So to build confidence built a capsule wardrobe and get to grips with what do you deserve and budget but if its tatty how will it make you feel? Find clothes that you feel a personal attachment to. I love charity shops and find some really good items but I think we can still find worthless items, when at first we feel good because of the price but will suit you? Shopping around being picky you'd be surprised with what your clothes really mean to you and what you find.
So build a wardrobe your proud of and makes you feel good.
Many thanks for reading,
Carrie X
