Self doubt and Being stuck in a rut

Today I wanted to post about self doubt and being stuck in a rut, because we can often feel like that on occasions and if you are in remission and self isolating due to COVID 19 virus then we can feel bored and stuck not having anywhere to go.

Let me tell you YOU ARE NOT ON YOUR OWN in fact it can lead us to feel anxious and overwhelmed when we have so much to do, now is the time to get the little things done to help us get ourselves out of the way we think and feel.

I wrote a blog yesterday on my related site about:

10 Daily Habits of successful people

As you can still carry on doing daily habits to help make you feel fulfilled and a purpose. That is the key to feeling good about ourselves is feeling like we have a purpose in life and things to achieve.

My writing is my sanctuary along with my family of course and my music, and I wouldn't live without these things and what keep me going.

Try and make everyday count even if you are isolated you can still,
  • Journal
  • Tidy and deep clean an area
  • Decorate if you have some paint left over in your home
  • Give a room a free make over by getting kids to do arts and crafts
  • Write a novel I love writing and challenge yourself to see how may words you can write by timing yourself throughout the day
  • Write a blog too, I love to blog if you haven't guest and what keeps me from going insane
  • Clear the computer files you've been meaning to do
  • Have a self care day
So lets get ourselves out of the rut and get things done help us keep the energy we need to keep thriving in life and be a success in whatever we choose to do.

Unstoppable confidence

When we lack self esteem we can often feel like we are worth zero to the people around us and this can happen at any stage of our lives and success.

I listened to a Tony Robbins video last night about Creating Unstoppable confidence and definitely worth listening to and watching:

It talks about self sabotage and when we hit a false stop we can often feel like we can't turn the corner or carry on going.

We have to change the pattern to how we think and feel about ourselves because we think that succeeding can create pain and we think to much on that so we frightened to succeeding.

What I would say to set an alarm and create rituals, check out my sister site to this one where I have written a blog about Creating Daily Rituals to create success.

Feeling Suicidal

Before I begin this blog if you feel this is too uncomfortable for you to read then don't feel you need to, but I feel it is a subject I need to talk about. Suicide is a raw subject to people because it is a personal experience that unless you feel it no one knows those feelings, and may feel uncomfortable with the subject.

There are many people who have tempted or have taken their own life, we don't know the reasons but being there myself my only description is the words "Rock Bottom" you feel completely helpless, worthless and vulnerable to the world.

You feel as if you can't do anything else and the whole world is against you. If you feeling suicidal then you need to follow these words: CARE, FEEL, SHOUT

  • CARE = It is time to take care of yourself and you need to speak out immediately, and take yourself away from the situation
  • FEEL= If you need let it all out then do, once I cry it is out of my system and I picture it in front of me I do feel a lot better, and write it down if you need to. Writing and having a great army of people around me to give me support is a must, even if it is one or two people
  • SHOUT = Call for help and don't feel silly in anyway, and get help immediately

It is a serious subject and not one to avoid. It isn't a selfish act as people think it is, but one that should be listened to as often it is a cry for help.

So if you feel suicidal then do not feel alone because you are not and get help immediately.

Using Laughter as a Sauce of Medicine

Have you ever had a bad day or been caught off guard, watching TV and something has made you feel so much better and made you laugh out loud?
Using laughter as a sauce of medicine is a great way to help build confidence and make you feel so much stronger within yourself.

As a kid I grew up watching comedy as my dad would always have it on. One of the first comedies I ever watched was Steptoe and son, now if my mum reads this she won't be impressed as it was not her sort of humour, but for me it was a great comedy.

It tells a sad story based on a father and son, who were rag and bone men, and so wore broke most of the time, but it was made into a comedy, to show the funny side of the relationship.

It is all to do with the gag and timing, and what made it funny was the way Harold interacted and would moan at his father, and they were constantly even though they loved each other would try and get one over one another.

I like to write blogs that aren't just serious but also about the things that make me laugh out loud too, and the one blog that springs to mind is one I wrote about Using Empowerment and Inspiration when it's just not your day  It was taking the mickey out of myself but also mainly speaking of the same contents, because when we laugh Endorphin's are released, which leads us to feel empowered because we have been in similar situation and we can relate to it.

When we can laugh at situations it can create a different picture. So next time someone tries to wind you up, mean throw a hurt at you, give them a different look. Not literally of course, but in your head, and take 5 minutes to really picture it and increase from the actual image of that person, and trust me you will feel a whole lot better.

Same with images of when we have been embarrassed too as I bet like having your skirt tucked into your pants has happened to many, it is so bad? Not really it is an easy mistake and so laughter is the best sauce of medicine and now they use laughter as part of therapy aswell.

So if you are feeling though and you need a good old laugh then stick that film or TV show on and have a fashioned laugh out loud, and trust me you will feel a whole better.
Let me know what comedies you loved as a kid or recently I would love to know. Leave a comment below.
